Reminder! Action Required to Maintain Grandfathered Status
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) requires that employer groups intending for one or more benefits plans to maintain grandfathered health plan status provide employer contribution rate information to BCBSIL by completing a Grandfathered Health Plan Form. Review instructions for groups renewing prior to Jan. 1, 2011 and after Jan. 1, 2011. The Department of Health & Human Services has released two new sets of guidelines on Medical Loss Ratios and insurance exchanges.
