Already a Member of Blue Cross of IL?

… And Looking to Add or Change Brokers?

Personal / Individual Insurance Members of Blue Cross of Illinois

Here in Illinois, a personal Individual/family Blue Cross Blue Shield policy can be sold either direct or through a national or local broker.  Your premiums are the same either way.  You can keep your Blue Cross program and add or change brokers with no effect to your bottom line.  If you need help, have unanswered questions or are just plain frustrated with your present situation, contact me.  I can show how to easily add me as your broker representative and we can then start working to try to reduce your premiums or start looking at all your options to make your situation better.

If you have your personal insurance with Blue Cross in Illinois and would like Eriksen Insurance Group to be your broker of record, please contact us for the details.

Group / Business Insurance Members of Blue Cross of Illinois

A group plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield can be sold either direct or through a national or local broker.  Larger brokers and smaller brokers are all treated the same at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.  If you need help with options, have unanswered questions or are just plain frustrated with your present situation, contact me.  I can show how to easily change from your current agent and add me as your broker representative.  I have many references available and I would love to work with you.

If you have more than 150 employees, premiums are set on a net basis with commissions being negotiated and added to the premium per an agreement between the employer and broker.  If you are thinking of changing brokers and you have more than 150 employees, we will work out some arrangement that works for both of us.

If you have less than 150 employees, you’re in the Blue Print or the SEHIRA protected area at Blue Cross and fall under a broker protected product.  So, whether you go direct to Blue Cross or use any broker, commissions are included and your premiums are the same either way.  You can keep your Blue Cross program and add or change brokers with no effect to your bottom line.   The change is processed by issuing a letter to Blue Cross.  An example can be downloaded here.
