Benefit cuts are workers’ top worry, Gallup reports

Employee Benefit Adviser reports:

“American workers are more concerned about cuts in their benefits than losing their jobs, according to a Gallup poll released today.

Forty percent of workers surveyed August 9-12 said they are concerned that their benefits will be reduced in the near future. That compares to 28% who fear they will be laid off and 28% who worry their salaries will be lowered.


Most Americans say individual mandate is unconstitutional

“Though Americans remain split on how health reform is going, a new poll reveals most are sure on one thing—the law’s requirement for all Americans to purchase health insurance or pay a fine is unconstitutional.

A USA Today/ Gallup poll released Monday finds 72 percent of American adults say the individual mandate is unconstitutional—with 94 percent of Republicans saying so and 56 percent of Democrats agreeing.
