The State reports:
“Tim Liszewski didn’t have health insurance for a decade before signing up for a subsidized policy through the Affordable Care Act’s federal marketplace last year.
He likely will be uninsured again if the U.S. Supreme Court rules federal subsidies are illegal in states such as South Carolina that didn’t create their own insurance exchanges. The court hears arguments about that issue in the King v. Burwell case on Wednesday, with a decision likely coming in June.

Time reports:
“”The House has an obligation to stand up for the Constitution”
House Republicans sued the Obama Administration on Friday over how it has implemented the health care reform law, taking legal action after threatening to do so for months.
The House sued the cabinet secretaries for the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of the Treasury, and filed the case in the U.S. District Court for Washington D.C., House Speaker John Boehner’s office said. At issue are administrative tweaks the Administration has made during the course of implementing the law.

Bloomberg BusinessWeek reports:
“Now that Republicans will be taking control of the Senate, party leaders will get the chance to stage a full vote on the repeal of Obamacare, forcing either a Democratic filibuster or a presidential veto. Either way, it will be pure theater, since there’s no real chance of undoing the law as long as President Obama remains in office. But the results of Tuesday’s election will still have a real impact on the Affordable Care Act’s provisions for state-level Medicaid expansions.

The Washington Examiner reports:
“President Obama’s health reform law may have claimed a new victim — organized labor.
Thanks to Obamacare, labor unions are facing higher health insurance costs — as well as steeper out-of-pocket bills and wage cuts.
Consequently, these erstwhile allies of the president appear to be signing on with the majority of Americans who oppose his signature law.

npr reports:
“Were last night’s convention references to Barack Obama’s mother and her struggles with an insurance company before her death a powerful argument for health care reform? Or were they a well-worn misrepresentation of history?
The answer appears to be in the wording.
The story came up twice — in Vice President Joe Biden’s speech and in a seven-minute video preceding President Obama’s address. And in both cases, the descriptions of the events of 17 years ago seem to have been crafted to preserve the anecdote’s proven political power while avoiding the scrutiny of media fact-checkers who’d previously questioned the president’s past tellings.
